Real Change for Break O’Day municipality

A Hodgman Liberal Government will provide real change for St Helens and the Break O’Day community following Liberal Leader Will Hodgman’s address to a public forum at St Helens this week.

We will provide $2.5 million towards upgrading of the Esk Main Road.
We will provide the Break O’Day Council with $500,000 for local roads package to deal with the increased visitation following the Bay of Fires publicity - $400,000 to upgrade Binalong Bay Road and $100,000 for works on the Anson’s Bay Road.

We will provide $50,000 to assist Tourism East Tasmania to offset negative publicity flowing from the two-part ABC documentary on St Helens water.

Our major Surf Life Saving package announced recently will benefit the Scamander Surf Club. We lead the way by securing the RFDS to remain at the Launceston Airport for the long term, so opening up airport development opportunities and we have provided $50,000 for a feasibility study into local airport development.

We have announced a Liberal Government will treat Dr Alison Bleaney’s work on St Helens water with respect, and will have her work and the Government’s work independently evaluated to arrive at the truth.

Break O’Day community can rely on a majority Hodgman Liberal Government to provide real change in their lives.
