The Tasmanian Liberals condemn today’s announcement that Federal funding for Tasmania’s vital fox eradication taskforce has been slashed.

This decision threatens the Tasmanian economy as well as our environment and should be seen as a slap in the face for the Bartlett Government from the Federal Rudd Government.

The Bartlett Government now needs to show some leadership and demand their Labor counter-parts in the Federal Government to restore funding to this vital program.

The Premier has told Tasmanians of the virtues of having Labor governments at a state and federal level. Here is the Premier’s chance to back up his talk with some results.
